Everyone Should Go To Classical Music Recitals Once In A While

Classical music was never my choice, until recently. I had thought music without a voice was dull and lifeless, that is why I love to listen to unique voices, e.g. Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Hilary Duff, Adele, just to name a few. However, as I grow, I love to explore other genres of music. Finally, I was led to the realm of classical music, by Miloš Karadaglić, a classical guitarist from Montenegro.

In May, I went to his first recital in Hong Kong, (Yes, I know it's July now, I'm reminiscing the moments, alright?) where he also accepted an award because his album has certified gold in Hong Kong.

My Summer of Love critique(edited) Part 1

Hey, guys. Long time no sees; it has been almost a year since I had not posted the movie review. It is inevitable that I am keen on another thing while being impatient on writing a critique. Yet, hurray, I am back and edit some reviews such as “My Summer of Love”.

The edited critique is a bit different from that of the past, with much more detailed analysis on the character and ambiguous.

My overall rate: 9.7/10(Rotten Tomato: 90% fresh, Metascore: 82 marks, IMDb: 6.9/10)

My taciturn comment: Mysterious atmosphere of the nature and both characters show the main purpose of movie.

Before the analysis,

1. Why Tamsin deceived Mona she had a dead sister?

2. Did Tamsin love Mona?

3. Is Mona psychologically infected by illness?

4. Is Tamsin really that bad? Did she really deceive Mona owing to achieve her fantasy?

(Start now…)

For the DVD lovers, you know that Intro emerged before the movie started. The intro seemed less important as it is just a process for beginning a movie. This is not true always, especially for My Summer of Love. The intro tells you the hints of the movie’s purpose. Listening to the background music of the intro, you feel the mysterious and horrible atmosphere of My Summer of Love. Furthermore, try to watch the picture of the intro; you see Emily Blunt and Natalie Press, right? Pay attention to their facial expressions until the background music replayed. (Those would help you so much to watch this movie)

From the beginning, you saw Mona was sitting at the ground of her bedroom (actually she was locked by her brother Phil.) Then, she was drawing a girl happily and “circumscribing” a girl with a mirror, as if Mona was looking at her reflection through the mirror. While watching Mona’s reflection, remember her face. This can help you to watch the movie.

The scene soon shifted into Mona was driving her bike without motor. She stopped it on the grass and took a rest (So relaxing). Soon after, she found some noisy interrupting her rest. She opened her eyes and oh, a white horse (with its master), she kept staring at a white horse for a few seconds. The horse’s master asked her if she was all right. After a bunch of question, we realized that the horse’s master is Tamsin and Mona’s original name. Mona followed Tamsin and she has learnt that Tamsin was studying at boarding school and being suspended owing to bad influence. Tamsin later asked Mona to come in the house (i.e. Tamsin’s house). Mona ignored since she was not free. Tamsin said that she was here in all summer and Mona was invited that she could come anytime she wanted.

Mona was back to home and she seems she had the awful life with her “new-born” brother Phil. She brought two beefs and drinking them while taking a bath. After that, she noticed Phil doing those “religion things” again, and passed out.

The scene was then shifted into Mona was making up at her bathroom. It was later shifted into she was compensated dating with a guy (i.e. she was having sex with a guy for the reason in different aspects such as in financial), and asked him to go out for somewhere and a guy rejected. At the end of the scene, they were broke up. Throughout this scene, we know that Mona was a bad girl, maybe she was innocent.

The scene was jumped to Mona was smoking at the entrance of a manor. As we know, this was the entrance of Tamsin’s house. She got into the manor and she ran across a red car, and inside a red car was Tamsin’s dad. He said hi to Mona and she asked him whether Tamsin in. Of course, he said yes. Getting to the house, beautiful music was being performed. She followed the music and found Tamsin was playing the cello. After the cello’s performance, they talked about the pub and Mona’s brother Phil. We have learnt that Phil was culprit once as he fought people and did robbery, we can also know that Mona’s mum was dead of cancer while Tamsin’s elder sister Sadie was dead of anorexia (In fact, Tamsin deceived Mona, Sadie was not dead). Then, you see Tamsin and Mona were feeding the white horse. Tamsin was talking about philology.(P.S. Tamsin declared that God is dead while commenting on the action of Phil.) After that, they drank together and Tamsin asked Mona what Mona would like to do after summer holiday. Mona said she would like to be a lawyer. (Mona was doing sarcasm if you realize that).

They were at the tennis court and both of them were sunbathing. Mona was fallen asleep. When she woke up, she noticed Tamsin was gone. She went near the window of Tamsin’s house and stealthy watched Tamsin was dining with people….

From the above scene, we have found that:

1. Tamsin was rich, smart, talented but worse contract.

2. Mona was bad and maybe innocent.

3. Mona might have mental illness

4. Phil was a heretic

Reason: Considering Christian and Catholicism, would they consider the pope as a god? Or even regarded him as a god? This is quite impossible happening in the modern life.

Leisure。Talking about Dreams(daydreaming and foreseendream)

Life experience is very significant to us. To me, there are around 10 kinds of life experiences that i have experienced up until now: Physical changes, Learning from school, watching movies, going for some trips....blah blah blah. Yet, the most inspiring me neither physical changes nor learning from school(i.e some people reckon that physical changes or learning from school are the most important for their experiences of life), is something about dreams.

Daydreaming

Talking about dreams, i can't stop thinking about daydreaming period at school. Looking the buildings or infrastructures outside the window, deeply deliberating upon my favorites and totally ignore or neglect to listen teacher's speech. (Very)Straightforwardly, those nasty parents and teachers would label the students who are paying no attention at the class as "poor".

However, I personally consider daydreaming as one of my life experiences and I sometimes think that daydreaming is much more like "a lesson" in a comparison to a "real lesson". Just premise you as a student, you are very normal, dislike boring atmosphere and love Visual Art very much , what would you do in Chinese lesson which last for 1 and 45 hours? I dare say you would not pay attention on the class very much. You may be drawing or daydreaming about Art, developing your art idea from your daydreaming through the Chinese lesson if i do not get it wrong. Therefore, daydreaming is not evil idea and it may be some kinds of developments for your interests.

Foreseen dream

Everyone had definitely underwent some dreams which could predict its future, there is no arguing point to show that someone who had no experiences for having a foreseen dream.

Human being is amazing in the universe. We do not realize how powerful or how mysterious it is. Maybe we can predict our future though our dream is not a surprising incident.

Learning foreknowledge from dream may be one of our life experiences. So, you do not need to panic when you have some foreseen dream.

Conclusion

In my opinion, dreams, whether daydreaming or foreseen dream, are life experiences. Without doing or having them, we cannot sure what we should do or other things.
